handmades inspiration getting started about contact

Each of my creations is the embodiment of a concept born from necessity, expressed in color. I am fascinated by products that bridge the space between needs and design, that express thought, and elicit respect. I create clothes, accessories, and gifts with consideration for the buyer, for the raw materials, and for enduring longevity in unexpected color combinations.

Maternity wear:
Delicate Comfort: inspired by my pregnant friends who can not find reasonably priced, quality sweaters designed to grow with their growing belly and celebrate these changes with feminine, delicate details. The skirt is inspired by my own sensibility during pregnancy when I wished for a stylish skirt designed to cover the belly free of pressure.
Colors: sweaters in baby blue or in light gray complemented by color details that celebrate pregnancy changes in a woman's body. The v-neck is emphasized by the stretch velvet band that separates the bust from the roundness of the belly. The vertical design on the back adds visual height, and the adjustable ties refine the back's curve s.

Tandem outfits for mother and daughters:
We match: When my daughter started choosing her own outfits she only ware two or three. Nothing I said could influence her decisions. One day I asked her if she would like a dress to match mommy's shawl. She screamed with joy and we started talking about how to choose outfits based on their color. Friends still point out that our colors often match.
Colors: taupe background fabric with delicate embroidery in antique rose, muted lilac, brown, aqua-marine, gold, even black. This is the most versatile fabric I've ever seen because it is feminine, soft, very warm, and these colors will complement almost any piece of clothing. Delicates washable.

Capelet:
Multipurpose: protection and play. Twenty-two inch square blanket keeps temperatures constant for baby on mom's errands, doubling as a nursing cover-up, and years later into a toddler cape. My daughter still brings her capelet with her especially when we travel.
Colors: bright and flowing, surprising color combinations for a baby blanket. The fiber is 100% cotton, will not peel and it is delicates washable.

Custom toys:
Dove: my friend's newborn's name is represented by a dove and she could not find any. I made her an eight inch dove, perfect for snuggles. Then she commissioned a dove mobile for the daughter's room and gave me the freedom for installation. Three doves circle under a branch.
Colors: complement the existing contemporary art on the walls inside delicate Yuzen like fabric details.
